The presentation ceremony of Morningstar Hong Kong Awards 2015 was successfully held on March 13, 2015. The Awards recognize retail funds and fund groups that added the most value for investors within the context of their relevant peer group in 2014 and over the longer term.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nick Cheung (below), Chief Executive Officer of Morningstar Asia, stressed that with the expanding team and capabilities that we are to offer in the Asia-Pacific region, Morningstar will continue to strengthen its fund research capability to provide investors with top-notch investment tools and content.
We were honored to have Mr. Stewart Aldcroft, Managing Director, Citi Securities and Fund Services (below) to share his views on the subject of ‘Hong Kong-China Mutual Recognition – Joining another dot in China’s grand plan to liberalise its financial markets?’.
Ms. Jin Tao (below), Director of Investment Management, Morningstar Investment Management Asia, talked about global investment trends.
Mr. Wing Chan (below), Director of Manager Research of Morningstar Investment Management Asia, gave the audience an update on Morningstar Manager Research. The research teams located in Asia will be expanding their research coverage to over 200 strategies. The team also plans to broaden their asset class coverage to Asian Fixed Income (Hard and Soft currency, High Yield), Asian Small Caps and Mutual Recognition plays in 2015.
