Throughout the first three quarters of 2010, the European debt crisis pressured the world’s economy. Only one-fifth of the equity fund categories recorded positive return as at August-end this year. Latin America equity category, though the performance surged a double in 2009, dropped 2.07% this year. The commodity price instability also weighed on Latin American markets. Fortunately, the growth focus of Latin America is gradually shifting to domestic demand and the fundamental is getting healthier.
